Privacy Policy

CSBeacon is a CS2 inventory companion for inventory valuation, organization, wishlists, transaction review, storage-unit tracking, alerts, and reporting. CSBeacon is not a marketplace, broker, escrow service, gambling product, trading bot, or financial adviser.

CSBeacon is not affiliated with Valve Corporation, Steam, Counter-Strike, any pricing data source, or any marketplace named in the product. Counter-Strike and Steam are trademarks of Valve Corporation.

We collect information you provide, information created through your use of CSBeacon, and information retrieved at your request from third-party services.

• Steam sign-in data, including Steam ID and public Steam profile information such as persona name and avatar.
• Steam inventory data for Counter-Strike 2, including item names, asset IDs, images, wear, float, stickers, charms, StatTrak data where available, and inventory details returned by Steam.
• CSBeacon records you create or edit, including transactions, cost basis, acquisition dates, wishlists, target prices, tags, notes, storage units, settings, alert preferences, notifications, reports, snapshots, and exports.
• Pricing and item information used by CSBeacon, including calculated market values, price history, item images, catalog details, exchange-rate reference data, and data freshness signals.
• Technical data, including IP address, browser, device, pages requested, timestamps, session cookies, sign-in details, logs, errors, and abuse-prevention counters.
• Support and contact information you choose to send us, including name, email address, message content, support category, attachments, and related email details.
• Marketing subscription information you choose to provide, including your email address, consent timestamp and source, subscription status, and whether that subscription was later linked to your CSBeacon account.
• Payment and billing information for paid plans, including subscription status, Stripe customer/subscription identifiers, invoices, receipts, tax details where applicable, and billing events. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored directly by CSBeacon.
• Privacy-friendly analytics data from Plausible, including aggregate page views, referral sources, basic campaign parameters, and high-level product-interest events such as demo or sign-in button clicks. CSBeacon uses this to understand public website performance without advertising pixels, session replay, or cross-site tracking.
• First-touch acquisition attribution associated with an account, including basic UTM campaign fields, an advertising click identifier when one is present in the link you followed, or a coarse referring source such as Google, ChatGPT, Reddit, or the referring website hostname. CSBeacon does not retain the full referring URL or use this information for cross-site tracking.

• We do not ask for or store your Steam password.
• We do not ask for or store your Steam API key.
• We do not ask for marketplace credentials, trade permissions, trade URLs, session cookies, or item custody.
• We do not sell CS2 items, execute trades, hold user balances, or transfer funds between users.
• We do not intentionally collect government IDs, payment-card numbers, or sensitive personal information as part of the current CSBeacon product.

• Authenticate your account through Steam sign-in and maintain your CSBeacon session.
• Fetch, cache, and display your requested Steam inventory data.
• Build inventory views across Steam-fetched items, manually logged pending holdings, and manually tracked storage-unit contents.
• Calculate inventory values, reports, snapshots, P&L views, wishlist context, and alert candidates.
• Store your preferences, tags, notes, alerts, transactions, wishlist items, and settings.
• Protect the service through authentication, rate limits, abuse prevention, logs, and security checks.
• Send account, support, or alert emails if email delivery is enabled and you have the relevant settings turned on.
• Send occasional marketing emails when you explicitly subscribe. A marketing address submitted before Steam sign-in may be linked to the account you later create in the same browser, and may become the account contact email only when the account does not already have one.
• Troubleshoot errors, monitor service health, understand product reliability, and improve CSBeacon.
• Understand aggregate public-site traffic, referral-channel performance, and high-level product interest through Plausible Analytics.
• Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce terms, protect users, and respond to privacy or support requests.

Where privacy laws require a legal basis for processing, CSBeacon relies on the bases that fit the specific context.

• Contract or pre-contract steps when we process information to provide the product you requested, including Steam sign-in, inventory views, reports, settings, and account support.
• Legitimate interests when we protect the service, prevent abuse, secure accounts, troubleshoot reliability issues, preserve data integrity, and understand non-sensitive product operation.
• Consent where required, such as optional email alerts or other optional features that require consent.
• Legal obligation when we retain or disclose limited information to comply with law, valid requests, tax, accounting, security, or dispute obligations.

Steam inventory and Steam profile data are retrieved only when you use CSBeacon features that depend on Steam. Steam Data is provided as-is and may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or affected by your Steam privacy settings.

Pricing data is informational market-listing data from one or more third-party market sources. CSBeacon may process that data through its own valuation model, cache, freshness checks, and fallback history, but calculated values are not guarantees of sale value, future value, liquidity, or investment performance.

CSBeacon uses third-party market and catalog data to power inventory values, reports, alerts, and item context. These data sources do not endorse CSBeacon and are not responsible for CSBeacon or user-entered CSBeacon records.

Third-party data may be unavailable, rate-limited, inaccurate, stale, incomplete, or changed without notice. CSBeacon may preserve cached or historical records to keep the product usable when a live source is unavailable.

CSBeacon uses essential cookies and similar local storage where needed for authentication, sessions, demo-mode behavior, security, preferences, and basic product functionality.

CSBeacon uses Plausible Analytics for privacy-friendly, aggregate website analytics without CSBeacon analytics cookies, advertising cookies, marketing pixels, session replay, or cross-site tracking.

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate CSBeacon, comply with law, protect the service, or honor your instructions.

• Hosting, database, storage, and security providers that help run CSBeacon.
• Email and support providers that help send account, alert, and support messages.
• Error monitoring providers that help identify and fix reliability issues.
• Privacy-friendly analytics providers, including Plausible Analytics.
• Pricing, catalog, exchange-rate, and market data sources used to power valuation and item context.
• Payment processors such as Stripe for checkout, subscription billing, invoices, receipts, taxes, customer portal access, fraud prevention, and payment-related support.
• Legal, safety, or compliance recipients if required to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect rights, prevent abuse, or respond to valid requests.

Do not send CSBeacon Steam passwords, Steam API keys, marketplace credentials, trade URLs, session cookies, payment-card numbers, government IDs, or other sensitive credentials through the product, contact form, email, support messages, notes, tags, wishlist entries, transactions, or storage records.

If you send sensitive information anyway, we may delete it, redact it, or refuse to process the related request.

CSBeacon is designed around durable user records such as inventory history, transactions, snapshots, wishlists, tags, storage-unit records, settings, and alerts. We keep this data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service.

You can delete your account from Settings. Account deletion is intended to permanently delete your CSBeacon account and user-owned product data, including inventory cache, snapshots, snapshot details, transactions, transaction items, wishlists, wishlist items, tags, storage units, storage-unit items, notifications, alert preferences, alert delivery records, and account settings. If you return later, you should expect to start fresh.

If a marketing subscription has been linked to your CSBeacon account, deleting the account also deletes that linked marketing subscription.

You may also request access, correction, export, or deletion help by contacting support. Some requests may require account verification. We may retain limited records where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backups, dispute resolution, payment/tax records, or legitimate operational needs.

Inactive accounts may receive email notices around 5 months of inactivity, may be archived around 6 months of inactivity, may receive additional deletion warnings around 11 and 12 months of inactivity, and may be scheduled for deletion after a grace period if still inactive. Logging in before deletion reactivates the account and cancels archival/deletion scheduling.

CSBeacon does not treat product-history deletion as a monetization shortcut. Snapshot history and transaction history are durable user data unless you delete your account, clear snapshot history, or the inactive-account policy applies after notice.

You can control much of your CSBeacon data through the product, including settings, alert preferences, wishlists, tags, transactions, storage-unit records, and manually entered fields. Some records may be retained in backups or logs for a limited period.

• You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal information.
• You may object to or request restriction of certain processing where applicable law gives you that right.
• You may withdraw consent for optional processing where consent is the legal basis, such as optional email alerts.
• You may unsubscribe from optional emails where an unsubscribe option is provided. Product, security, account, and legally required messages may still be sent where allowed.
• Marketing consent is separate from product alert preferences. Unsubscribing from marketing does not delete an account contact email or change operational email settings.
• You may adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies and local storage, but this may break authentication or product features.

CSBeacon is operated from the United States, but CS2 has an international audience. If you use CSBeacon from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where CSBeacon and its service providers operate.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. Contact support to make a privacy request. We will respond according to applicable law and reasonable verification requirements.

CSBeacon does not claim certification under an international transfer framework. Where required, we rely on service-provider terms, data-processing terms, contractual protections, or other lawful transfer mechanisms available for the provider and region.

CSBeacon is not directed to children. You must be old enough to use Steam and to agree to these policies under the laws that apply to you. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child in a way that requires deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect CSBeacon data, including authentication, secret management, least-needed data-source access, rate limits, and operational monitoring. No internet service can guarantee perfect security.

If you believe your CSBeacon account or data may be at risk, contact support promptly and do not send passwords, API keys, or session cookies.

CSBeacon may automatically calculate values, alerts, charts, categories, and report insights from your data and third-party data. These outputs are informational product features and are not intended to produce legal, financial, employment, credit, insurance, or similarly significant decisions about you.

We may update this Privacy Policy as CSBeacon changes. If a change materially affects your rights or how we use your information, we will provide appropriate notice through the product, website, or email where practical.
